Just opened up my birthday present from my brother. It's only a 3 but i think it a beautiful 3 and will fit into my set just perfectly. I've got a great brother.

    Very nice on the eyes.
What makes it a 3, is that a crease on the top left?
  • yeah, thats about the only major problem with it is a small crease near the top left corner.

Classic card! My first Mantle was his '66 card. Nice brother you have there!
  • That is a 3 that would love to be in my eye appeal collection.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

I was born in 1966 and I started collecting at age 5 (1971 topps)-I still have my boyhood collection-Your brother did a great job with the Mantle-

My sister who was in 6th grade when I was in 1st, brought me home a yellow plastic tool box full of cards when I was in first grade-probably 300 cards from 68 to 71-she got them from a boy who liked her...In the box was 1 Mantle-a 1969 checklist-that was my first Mantle and I still have it today......maybe the lowest of all mantles put out by topps, but special to me!!!

I remeber buying a 1968 Mantle at age 12 at the edmonton drive in theater (flea market on sat/sun) in Baltimore with my newspaper route money..I paid 13 dollars for it and my dad thought I was crazy....it would probably grade a 7 today maybe 8.

Isnt it great to have family!!!! merry xmas to all out there and everybody should do something nice for there bro or sis this holiday season
